Below you will find some frequently asked questions related to the use of the GFOXX and the app.

How do I activate a GFOXX?

Press and hold the Start/Power button for 5-6 seconds. When the Power LED lights up, the GFOXX is activated and will begin recording the temperature. The device saves the temperature every 5 minutes. Therefore, please wait approximately 20-30 minutes before syncing the data to the app for the first time.

How do I download the GFOXX app?

How do I create a temperature report?

What is the lifespan of my GFOXX?

The older GFOXX versions last for one year, after which they need to be replaced. With the new generation, the GFOXX and GFOXX Pro last approximately 1.5 to 2 years in the freezer and 2 to 3 years in the refrigerator.

How do I deactivate a GFOXX?

You cannot turn off or deactivate an activated GFOXX. This is only possible with the GFOXX Pro version. To do this, press and hold the Stop button for 5-6 seconds.

How do I upload a new GFOXX to my app?

Open your GFOXX app. In the bottom right corner, there's a + in a circle; tap it and then select "Connect device". Now scan the QR code on the GFOXX.

How do I rename a GFOXX?

In the app, you'll see each GFOXX unit with its respective ID (e.g., FE9718166798). Click on the three vertical dots in the bottom right corner of the GFOXX tile. The top tab is labeled "Rename." A pop-up window will appear where you can enter the name of your cooling unit.

How can I set a temperature range?

In the app, you'll see each GFOXX with its respective ID (e.g., FE9718166798). Click on the three vertical dots in the bottom right corner of the GFOXX tile. The second tab is "Set target temperature"; now select your desired temperature range.

Does the GFOXX require an internet connection?

No, the GFOXX does not require an internet connection for basic use. Communication between the GFOXX and the app occurs via Bluetooth.

You can therefore use the GFOXX even in areas where no Wi-Fi or mobile internet is available. A Bluetooth connection is sufficient for reading temperature data, synchronizing with the app, and creating reports.

An internet connection is only required if you want to download app updates or use additional cloud functions, provided they are available and activated.

What should I do if my GFOXX is not recognized?

If your GFOXX is not displayed or recognized in the app, first check whether Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone or tablet. Also, make sure the GFOXX is within range.

Reduce the distance to the device and open the GFOXX app again. If the device still does not appear, it can help to briefly switch Bluetooth off and on again or to restart the app.

Also check whether the GFOXX has already been activated. An unactivated device cannot record temperature data and may not be read out correctly.

How often should I sync my GFOXX?

The frequency of synchronization depends on your area of application. The GFOXX primarily stores temperature data independently in its internal memory. Nevertheless, we recommend regularly synchronizing the data with the app.

For particularly sensitive applications, frequent checks, or processes requiring documentation, daily or regular synchronization may be advisable. This ensures that all data is available in the app in a timely manner and that a report can be generated quickly if needed.

Can I use multiple GFOXX devices simultaneously?

a. You can manage multiple GFOXX devices in the app. Each device is displayed as its own tile and can be individually named, synchronized, and configured.

This is particularly useful if you want to monitor several cooling areas, storage rooms, vehicles, transport boxes, or measuring points simultaneously.

Group synchronization allows multiple devices to be read out simultaneously, provided they are within Bluetooth range. This also enables efficient management of larger applications.

What is the GFOXX particularly suitable for?

The GFOXX is suitable for all areas where temperatures need to be reliably documented and monitored. This includes, among others, cold rooms, freezer areas, transport boxes, storage areas and temperature-sensitive supply chains.

Thanks to automatic temperature recording, easy readout via app, and the option to generate PDF reports, the GFOXX supports transparent and traceable temperature documentation.

The system is particularly helpful wherever temperature data needs to be regularly checked, stored, or forwarded.
